25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” 31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’” 32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
Issues are just a part of life. If you walked in here this morning you got issues and when you leave here today you will still have some issues. It may not be the one you came in with, but you will have an issue because it’s just a part of life. Some have financial issues, some have martial issues, some have children issues, some have relationship issues, and SOME PEOPLE JUST CREATE ISSUES. I have come to realize that envy and jealousy are universal issues so at some point in time we all have issues. SOMEBODY SAY ISSUES.
If you let a problem stay around to
long you will end up with TWO PROBLEMS instead of one.
Your issue may not be blood, but whatever it is, it’s just like this
woman’s issue if it is draining life out of you.
As we look in the text we can see
that this woman definitely had an issue.
This woman had an issue of blood for twelve long years.
For twelve years life just flowed out of her body leaving her weak
and unclean in the eyes of her family and community.
By its very nature, sin does us the same way.
It leaves us contaminated unclean, impure and unable to be cleansed
by anything we come in contact with.

Some may be dealing with a bankruptcy issue. You can fix it with the bank but you still need healing from the shame, pain and disappointment you feel.

Others may be dealing with a divorce issue. You can get a divorce but you still need healing from the pain, heartache and loneliness.

You may be facing the betrayal of a friend or love one, you can patch thing up but you still need healing from the hurt, distrust and anger.
This woman had to deal with her
issue of blood for 12 years.
Along with that issue came other issues such as frustration, a broken heart,
confusion and embarrassment.
Desperate people will try desperate things. This woman had tried everything.
She tried Dr. Sadducee, she tried Dr. Pharisee, she even tried the
root doctors’ and the only thing they helped her out of was her money.
The Bible says she spent all she had and her condition didn’t get any
better, it grew worse. Instead
of her just giving up, I can hear this woman begin to sing the first stanza
of OH IT IS JESUS. I can hear
her saying I tried all I could, seems like nothing did me any good.
Then I heard Jesus he was passing by, so I decided to give him a try.
She was determined to get to Dr. Jesus one way or the
other. She didn’t stand in front
of him, she didn’t climb the sycamore tree, she didn’t cry out like the
blind man, she just keep pressing her way through the crowds from behind.
SOMEBODY SAY THE BLESSING IS IN YOUR PRESSING.
The bible
says immediately she felt the healing power of God as it flowed in her body.
Now I can hear singing the chorus
of OH IT IS JESUS.
She started singing oh it is Jesus, oh it is Jesus, it is Jesus in my
soul, for I have touched the hem of his garment and his blood has made me
whole.
Faith is the finger whereby we touch God.
When NOW faith walks, the devil hides, sickness flees and miracles
happen. NOW faith can’t be
stopped. It laughs at
impossibilities, it walks through the walls of difficulty and it leaves a
trail of miracles wherever it goes.
NOW faith counts it done before the evidence is seen.
NOW faith is the bridge over your troubled waters.
SOMEBODY SHOUT NOW FAITH.
The Bible says that Jesus immediately stopped and
turned around and said “who touched me”.
Jesus had turned to see the one who had touched him by NOW FAITH. The
woman with the issue of blood came trembling at the feet of Jesus and made
her confession. Then Dr. Jesus
said to her “DAUGHTER, YOUR FAITH HAS MADE THEE WELL.
GO IN PEACE AND HE HEALED OF YOUR AFFLICTION.”
The woman GOT what she wanted, this woman was out of hope but when
Jesus walked by she saw something that got her attention.
Had she not pressed her way into the crowd she would have remained
ill for the rest of her life
Well to get that healing, to get that touch, to get
that deliverance, we have to pursue after God.
We have to reach out and touch him by the fingers of now faith to
receive his fingers of
love.
Jesus can be touched by the feelings of our infirmities.
We are to press our way into the kingdom of God. Anything having is
worth pressing for: REMEMBER
